If you live here, the drive to your estimate is a short one, and you can reach a person on weekdays from 7 to 6. Holladay is one of the older parts of the valley, and the houses show it: mid-century ramblers, split-levels from the 1960s and 70s, and newer rebuilds on the big lots near Holladay Village. A lot of those kitchens and baths have been patched more than once. Replacing a tired kitchen, opening up a closed-off floor plan, or turning a dated basement into a room you actually use are ordinary calls for us. We are not a production builder, and we are not trying to be the cheapest bid in a Facebook group. You get a look at the house, a written range based on the room and the finish level, and a crew that shows up when it says it will. Start with a planning estimate if you want a number tonight, or book a visit and we'll measure. Kitchens, baths, basements, and the occasional addition are the work. If the project is a single bath or a tile repair, say so and we'll tell you honestly whether it fits. ### Millcreek, Salt Lake County Millcreek sits just north of Holladay, and many of its homes are brick ramblers and bungalows from the middle of the last century. The bones are good. The kitchens and baths usually aren't. Older Millcreek houses tend to have smaller kitchens walled off from the living room, one or two compact baths, and basements finished decades ago with paneling and drop ceilings. Opening a wall, rebuilding a bath around a walk-in shower, or redoing the basement properly are common requests in homes this age. We measure and check what is in the walls before we talk about moving anything. Newer infill and rebuilt homes in Millcreek are a different job: builder-grade finishes in a good layout. There the work is usually cabinets, counters, tile, and lighting rather than structure. We're one city south, in Holladay. Estimates are free on weekdays, and the instant estimate will show Good, Better, and Best ranges before we arrive if you already know the rough square footage. ### Cottonwood Heights, Salt Lake County Cottonwood Heights runs up to the mouths of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Many of its homes date from the 1970s through the 1990s, and their kitchens and baths are due. A lot of Cottonwood Heights houses are split-levels and two-stories with original or once-updated kitchens, primary baths with a tub nobody uses, and basements with walkout potential on the sloped lots. A kitchen replacement, a primary-bath rebuild, or a full basement finish is usually the project. Basements here often have more natural light than the valley floor because of the grade. We look at ceiling height, egress, and mechanicals and tell you what the scope actually is before you spend money. The shop is just northwest, in Holladay. Book a weekday visit or call, and we'll measure and write the estimate. ### Murray, Salt Lake County Murray has older blocks near its historic center and newer neighborhoods farther out. The remodel is different in each, and we price them differently. Houses in Murray's older neighborhoods are often tighter: a small primary bath with a tub you want to turn into a shower, and a kitchen that is still the original layout. Newer homes have more square footage and builder-grade finishes. We measure before we talk about moving a wall. If your Murray project is a shower and a vanity rather than a whole kitchen, that is still a job we'll look at. If it is a full kitchen, a basement, or an addition, we'll walk it with you and put the range in writing. The shop is just east, in Holladay. Estimates are free on weekdays. ### Midvale, Salt Lake County Midvale sits in the middle of the valley, south of Murray. Its housing ranges from small postwar homes to newer townhomes and subdivisions. Smaller Midvale homes usually call for making the most of the space you have: a kitchen that works better in the same footprint, a bath rebuilt around a walk-in shower, or a basement turned into a bedroom and bath. Newer homes are usually finish upgrades — cabinets, counters, tile, and lighting. Bring photos of finishes you like. We'll tell you what they cost at each finish level, and the written bid comes after a free visit. The shop is a short drive northeast, in Holladay. ### Sandy, Salt Lake County Sandy's established neighborhoods — around Dimple Dell and the blocks toward the mountains — are full of kitchens and baths from the 1980s through the 2000s. That's the work. We drive to Sandy for projects that justify the trip: a full kitchen, a primary bath, a basement that needs to be lived in. If you need a single faucet replaced, we'll say so and point you to someone closer. What you can expect is the same process everywhere we work. We visit, we write an estimate, and a project manager runs the job if you hire us. Call before you book if you're at the far south end of Sandy. We'll tell you whether we're the right crew for the size of the job. ### Draper, Salt Lake County Draper sits at the south end of Salt Lake County, up against the Point of the Mountain. Many homes are larger two-stories from the 1990s and 2000s. Draper houses often have big kitchens with builder cabinets and counters that have aged, primary baths with oversized tubs, and basements that were left unfinished. A kitchen refresh or replacement, a primary-bath rebuild, or a full basement finish is usually the project. We price the room by square footage and finish level, and the written bid comes after a free visit. If you're comparing bids, ask every contractor to break out the same scope so the numbers line up. The shop is in Holladay, north of you. Call if you want to confirm the drive before you book. ### Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County Salt Lake City has some of the oldest housing in the valley — bungalows, Victorians, and postwar cottages — alongside newer construction. Each needs a different approach. Older city homes come with plaster walls, small kitchens, and one original bath, and remodeling them takes care with what's behind the walls. Newer homes are usually finish upgrades. Either way, we look at the house first and put the range in writing. Basements in older Salt Lake City homes often have low ceilings and small windows. We check ceiling height, egress, and the mechanicals before we promise a finished room, and tell you what the scope actually is. The shop is south of the city, in Holladay. Book a weekday visit or call. ### South Jordan, Salt Lake County South Jordan grew fast, and a lot of its homes share a plan: builder kitchen, builder bath, and a basement that's still concrete. Neighborhoods like Daybreak and the subdivisions around them were built in waves, with finishes chosen for a price sheet rather than for how you live. A kitchen replacement or a basement finish is usually the project, sometimes both. We won't assume your city will allow a basement apartment. We'll look at ceiling height, egress, and the mechanicals and tell you what the scope actually is before you spend money. The shop is in Holladay, across the valley. Call if you want to confirm the drive before you book. ### West Jordan, Salt Lake County West Jordan covers a lot of ground on the west side of the valley, from older neighborhoods to newer subdivisions with unfinished basements. Older West Jordan homes usually need a kitchen and bath brought up to date. Newer homes often need the basement finished and the builder-grade kitchen upgraded. We price both by square footage and finish level. You get a look at the house, a written range, and a project manager on the job if you hire us. The shop is in Holladay, east across the valley. Call if you want to confirm the drive before you book. ### Taylorsville, Salt Lake County Taylorsville is on the west side of the valley, west of Murray. Much of its housing is ramblers and split-levels from the 1960s through the 1980s. Homes this age usually have original or once-updated kitchens, small baths, and basements finished long ago. A kitchen that works better in the same footprint, a bath rebuilt around a walk-in shower, or a basement redone properly are common projects. Bring photos of finishes you like. We'll tell you what they cost at each finish level, and the written bid comes after a free visit. The shop is in Holladay, east of you across I-15.
